Volunteer Guidelines
Sign up for your shift today! They go fast!
IF YOU CANCEL YOUR SHIFT WITHIN TWO WEEK OF THE SALE, YOU MUST NOTIFY JUST 4 KIDZ, LLC VIA E-MAIL OR PHONE CALL IMMEDIATELY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND YOUR VOLUNTEER STATUS FOR FUTURE SALES, IF YOU CANCEL YOUR SHIFT W/IN TWO WEEKS OF THE SALE.
- Please do not bring children to your volunteer shift.
- If your shift is during a sale, try to get there a few minutes early so that we can review your responsibilities with you.
- Be sure to bring any snack or drink with you that you might need while you are working.
- If you volunteer to work during the private sale, you must be finished shopping and begin working 30 minutes after the doors open. We will check you out before you leave your shift. Do not stand in the check-out line!
- Absolutely no making stashes during your shift if your shift is before presale.
- If you fail to show up for a volunteer shift, you will not be eligible to volunteer again.
Type of Work You May Be Asked To Do
- Setup / Breakdown: Men needed to help load and unload racks, tables, and do miscellaneous heavy lifting in setting up or breaking down after sale. Let the men in your life earn you spot to shop first in the presale!
- During Sale: Cut tags as customers check-out, make sure clothes are hung on racks in correct sizes, re-hang clothing that comes off hangers, and straighten appearance of displays.
- Drop-Off: Hang clothes in correct sizes, place items in appropriate location, ensure clothes are free of stains, holes, and missing buttons.
- End-of-Sale: Sort unsold clothes and items out by consignor code.
VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
Please understand that these guidelines have been created in an effort to maintain a high quality sale.
- In an effort to ensure the quality of the sale by retaining a sufficient number of volunteer workers, Just 4 Kidz requires that workers fulfill their pledged obligation to work their assigned 4-hour shift. In the event a worker does not fulfill their obligation or find a suitable replacement on their behalf, the worker will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer for 2 seasons.
- The deadline for canceling a scheduled work shift is the Friday before drop-off begins. Any cancellations made after that day will be subject to the penalties stated in this agreement. Some extenuating circumstances will be considered (such as a death in the family). In such situations the worker will be allowed to volunteer again without penalty.
- Workers should not bring children under the age of twelve with them to work. Rare exceptions have been made for nursing infants during certain shifts, but the appeal must be made and approved by the Just 4 Kidz Staff BEFORE signing up to work.
- Workers must be on time and fulfill their entire shift in order to reap the benefits and escape the consequences of the Volunteer Agreement.
- Volunteers understand that one four-hour shift earns one private sale pass. If you would like to bring your husband, you will need to work 2 shifts or your husband will need to work a four-hour shift. No children will be admitted to the private sale except nursing babies that are in a sling.
